Katy Horton

Hello, I’m Katy Horton. You will find me in the heart of Poulsbo at This Hair Place, creating customized haircuts and color services for each client. 

After graduating from Bellingham Beauty School in the spring of 2010, the first year of my career was spent apprenticing under a seasoned stylist. This allowed me to continue developing my craft. After building up my confidence, I took a job with a corporate salon where I spent a decade working behind the chair. I’m grateful that I also had the opportunity to manage the salon. Not only was I able to grow my skills as a stylist but gained valuable knowledge of how to run a business. I decided to take what I had learned to venture out and become my own boss. Working for myself has reignited my passion for doing hair. Continuing education keeps me up to date on current styles and techniques. 

When not at the salon, during the spring and summer months I spend time at the Drag Races taking life a quarter mile at a time where I crew chief for my dad and sister. As summer turns to fall my passion turns to rooting for the Seahawks, win or lose.  No matter the season I love spending time with family and friends.  Whether it be binging our favorite shows or sitting around the fire pit creating memories.
