What To Expect At Your Phase 2 Visit.
As we are gearing up for Phase 2, I want to share with all of you what to expect during your salon visit. The following is a summarized list of Guidelines given to us by the State of Washington.
1). When you arrive for your appointment, you will remain in your vehicle and text me at 360-551-6345 to let me know you are here. Once the previous client has left the salon and I have had proper time to sanitize the space, I will open the front door for you. Please keep in mind I have added extra time onto all appointments to allow for this.
2). The state is requiring that ALL clients were a face mask upon entering the space. You will also be required to go over to the sink and wash your hands for 20 seconds before sitting in the chair. Your mask will be required to stay on through the entire service. Keep in mind that if you are having a color service done you will want to bring a mask you wont mind color getting on. I will have some disposable masks available for $1.50 to help off set the cost of these masks at any given time, if you are in need of one.
3). The state will not allow salons to have magazines or hair style books available for the guest.
4). Clients will also not be provided beverages or food during this time. If you are here for a longer service you are welcome to go to your car during the processing time to take off your mask or eat and drink something, then come back in when it is time to rinse your color ( keeping in mind you will be required to wash your hands again when you come back in).
5). During phase 2 all service providers are to wear a face mask and some sort of either a face shield, goggles or glasses while with a client. While you are being shampooed a towel will be placed over your eyes for added protection.
6). If you are having a service done that requires the face mask to be removed you must put the face mask back on as soon as the service is over. At this time I have decided to remove facial waxing services from the menu.
7). Clients will need to come by themselves, except for in the case of minors under the age of 16 and anyone who has a care provider to assist them in and out of chairs. Only one person is allowed to have their hair done at a time per service provider.
8). The state is also asking that each of you do a self evaluation before coming in for your appointment to make sure you are not feeling ill or running a fever. Please if you are having any symptoms of illness contact me immediately so we can reschedule your appointment.
9). The state is suggesting that all payments be made via credit or debit card and that cash is kept to a minimum. If you prefer to tip your service provider in cash, please bring it in a ziplock baggie.
10). We are being forced to work at a 50% capacity, which means we are not all able to work at the same time. This will not be a problem when we first open but once Riley starts we will alternate the days we work until we are at 100%.
11). June 1st is the projected date. This date is not confirmed and may change according to the governors ruling, and, that all extra PPE that I had to order in has arrived.
If you have any questions about any of these items, please feel free to call or email me and I will be more than happy to go over them with you. Hope to see you all soon.
